Humpbacks from Anacortes!

-Beautiful conditions on the water
-Eagles, seals, and Stellers’s

We really couldn’t believe how incredible our conditions were today on the water! We saw a belted kingfisher and several common loons to start the day. Pacific loons, surf scoters, white-winged scoters, and common murres were spotted as well today. We saw harbor seals and a bald eagle on Colville Island. We slowed along the Salmon Bank marker to check out a California sea lion. Three humpback whales were spotted today including BCZ0180 ‘Monarch’. One of the whales swam right past us near Cattle Pass! Capt. Carl took us past Whale Rocks to watch dozens of Steller sea lions hauled out on the rocks. More harbor seals and a great blue heron were hanging out near Castle Rock as we cruised home in fantastic conditions!
