A rare fluke day from Anacortes

Anacortes

-California sea lion near our dock
-dozens and dozens of harbor seals
-bald eagles everywhere

Our tour today was packed with wildlife from start to finish, as we watched a bald eagle and several turkey vultures soaring in the strong winds near our dock. Capt Scott kept us out of the very nasty seas to the south and we searched for whales to the north, all the way up into Canada. Viewing wildlife at the many refuges today was awesome, as the minus tide created fantastic conditions to watch seals hauled out and bald eagles scavenge. We searched and searched, traveling to areas that had not been covered by other tour boats, but we could not find a whale today. Still, we had a great day with wildlife, and our guests will get the chance to come back and try again.
