We headed out on our trip today under beautiful sunshine-filled skies and flat water. At Bird Rocks, we saw several harbor seals and one California sea lion hauled out. At Colville Island, we found more seals hauled out and another California sea lion. We trekked out into the Strait of Juan de Fuca where we found two humpback whales swimming side by side! We had great looks at them as they flukes multiple times. We moved off and found another humpback whale. This humpback provided us with the best looks of the day! This whale headed directly toward the boat, surfacing really close and even fluking at close range! Amazing! We also found a few minke whales in the vicinity and got a couple good looks that them! Eventually, we headed north and spotted an immature bald eagle perched on Minor Island. We cruised on toward home port after a double header!
